Armand
Winters – Nosferatu/Ordo Dracul
After
the invasion of York by American forces, Evelyn Prater took with
her and the departing soldiers the library containing the only written
form of Cruac that the Ordo Dracul had been able to gather during
their short time in the New World. Winters was furious that the
Invictus did nothing to aid him or his small lineage in the protection
of the library, and left shortly after the theft, hoping to return
with the spoils. Before doing so, he swore before representatives
of both the Invictus and the Lancea Sanctum that the Ordo Dracul
until such time that the library was returned would remain neutral
in all affairs of the domain.
Walter
Dagenhart – Nosferatu/Ordo Dracul
With
Armand Winters' departure in search of his stolen library, a number
of the family were called upon to aid in this endeavor. Depleting
their ranks the founder of the lineage sent childer and grandchilder
across North America in search of the retreating Prater. Following
her trail to the south, back into the United States, Armand Winters
took the bulk of his family. Walter Dagenhart was one of the few
called upon to head in other directions. This grandchilder was given
the responsibility of watching along the eastern territories of
Canada, and has to this day.
Kathrine
Querry – Nosferatu/Ordo Dracul
Winters’
decision to leave in pursuit of the library, in whose company traveled
his two eldest childer, caused concern for other members of the
Ordo Dracul as to who should carry the burden of the Elysium, and
host to the court. The choice to elevate his eldest grandchilde
to this position gave pause to not only members of the covenant,
but to the court at large. Untried, they believed it a mistake,
but as they sought advantage in this perceived weakness, Kathrine
Querry proved herself more than capable of the task. While she attempted
to act the gracious hostess, it soon became apparent that the intensity
and disregard for the sensibilities of others she carried with her
in all interactions, Kathrine would not be used, and would not bend
from the stance of neutrality bequeathed her. It was surprising
then that she would leave in the 1920’s, giving the Elysium
into the care of an outsider.
