Kindred
Lineages - Reed

Angus Reed – Gangrel/Carthian

One of the first Kindred to immigrate to the region of Toronto, Angus Reed was the only individual outside of Prince Braun, and Hollinger able to say that he had been in the city before it was a city. He and his brood toiled in support of the Prince, and were it not for the arrival of Swallows, then they’d likely still be toiling. As the local Invictus and the Southern Carthians struggled against each other, Reed found himself embroiled in their war as the Invictus seized the assets of his childer and grandchilder, using the mortal banks to foreclose on their homes and holdings. The events leading up the rebellion are muddled, but what is known is that Reed was integral to the march lead by William Lyon Mackenzie; the following negotiations were spearheaded by Reed. Of all the participants involved, the Reed lineage was punished the least. Reed left shortly after the negotiations were settled, but he was not forced to cross the border like the other rebel leaders.

Doyle – Gangrel/Lancea Sanctum (Childe of Angus Reed)

When Angus left the Old World he came with everything he owned - which included all of his childer – amongst whom was Doyle. Speaking with the Elder Gangrel provides telling clues to his origins as a man of Belfast. Very few know the details of how this Catholic Irishman ran afoul of the Scottish Anglican. His role in his sire’s rebellion was minimal. Even then this Reed Childer was setting himself apart from his sire. No longer did he swear false loyalty to the Carthians, but joined Henry Lange at the weekly Midnight Mass. Proclaiming himself a few years before the rebellion a servant of Longinus, few noted his departure amidst his sire’s banishment, and the few who did gave that little thought. By this point Doyle was recognized as his own man.

Esiban, "Molly Stanton" – Gangrel/Carthian (Childe of Angus Reed; Carthian Covenant Leader 1838-1980)

An Ojibwe, Molly was embraced by Angus Reed in 1795 to access the First Nations. Molly gained notice in the war of 1812, when she sided against most Carthians, and worked for the Tecumseth-Brock alliance and Prince Braun. She rose to prominence within Elysium after 1837 when Swallows and Reed departed; Molly guided the Carthians in Toronto for the next 150 years. Mortal struggles for rights gained Molly's attention, and were her passion. As many of her projects began bearing fruit, Molly became cynical and pessimistic. She felt most kindred were not committed to improving the lives of mortals, and her efforts were in vain. Molly made her last appearance at an Elysium in 1979.
