Richard
Hollinger – Nosferatu/Invictus
As
typical of the Invictus, Richard Hollinger was relegated as a Nosferatu
to the position of covenant enforcer. For Hollinger kindred society
was the veneer of civility obscuring the monstrous nature beneath.
When he was ordered to the New World with Braun, Hollinger recognized
the brutality expected of him as the Invictus attempted to solidify
the holdings the accrued. It came as no surprise when Braun after
agreeing to have the gift of the embrace bestowed upon the Mississauga
Chieftain in return for the sale of their lands, ordered Hollinger
to destroy the newly created kindred.
Ever in the background, Hollinger supported Prince Braun faithfully.
This support was responded to with snickers and comments behind
his back. Often his loyalty was compared to that of a devoted dog,
ever close to his master’s heels. And yet for all of this
loyalty Hollinger was never rewarded. Some have suggested that if
it’s possible for Kindred to still love after the embrace,
than he would be the ideal candidate. After the murder of Prince
Braun at the hands of Henry Lange, Hollinger was said to have been
in such a fury that members of the Invictus had to restrain him
from immediately going after Lange. Instead he seized power and
used that power to punish his liege’s transgressor.
Since the Great Fire, and the blood hunting of Lange, Prince Hollinger
has become more and more reclusive. As Kindred have come to the
Domain it has become apparent that the Prince has only spoken with
a select few, the most prominent and who also make up the bulk of
this number, namely the heads of the various covenants; it is to
them to inform him of new arrivals to the Domain. Petitions are
only ever made to these leaders; the applicants then waiting months
on a response. Rumors are circulating at the moment that meetings
with the Prince never happen in the same place twice.
The quality of mercy is not strain’d, it droppeth as the
gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath: it is twice bless’d;
it blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
Samuel Morrissey – Nosferatu/Invictus (Deceased
December 11th, 2005)
(Reeve under Richard Hollinger)
Prized
highly within the ranks of the Invictus is the ability to not only
seize the initiative and act for the betterment of the covenant,
but also the ability to paint ones superior in a better light while
doing so. For isn’t it their mentoring that cultivated your
talents? Samuel was just that type of man. Though a ghoul to Hollinger
for many years never had he managed to accomplish any task that
pleased his master so as to reward him with the embrace. Until the
Donnellys that is. The mention of the name one night during court
in 1880, a bold move considering his position, caused Hollinger
to excuse his presence from Prince Braun’s side, dragging
Samuel in his wake. That very night Samuel was rewarded his service
with the embrace. To this night he has rewarded Hollinger’s
gift with the outmost loyalty. Of the family Samuel is the most
visible in his duties as the domain’s Reeve, enforcing the
laws of the Prince. This officer of the court is Feared for
his position, Influential due to his lineage, and Remarkable
for earning his embrace.
Collin Bluett – Nosferatu/Invictus
Even
though Collin is just an Archon to the Reeve, the incidental fact
that that very same official happens to be his sire as well ensures
a recognition on part of the court that this Respected member
of the court might also provide a back door of communication to
the Prince, and thus is believed Influential as well.
