Justin Fairfax – Mekhet/Lancea Sanctum (Deceased
March 4th, 2007)

Even with the circumstances regarding the torporing of his sire
many within the domain had still accredited Justin with a measure
of influence. His sire had at one point been the head of the Lancea
Sanctum, and a ranking member of the court. Would he not carry on
her legacy? Carry it on he did. With his trial the court learned
how his sire – whether out of some sort of genuine fear, or
the deranged ramblings of a madman – trained him to infiltrate
the Invictus and work towards sowing chaos and dissension from within.
By his actions and deeds Fairfax was able to earn respect from
the court and as a result was seen by many as part of the new generation
of kindred making their ways into the key positions required for
the proper functioning of the domain. Anger and outrage that he
would take advantage of such has been expressed by numerous members
of the court and may have proven a deep betrayal to many.
In retrospect many have come to see that his attempts to ensure
his connections throughout the court, both having acted for the
Invictus at points in the official capacity as an Archon, and a
member of the rack coterie (Dionclath) charged with the well being
of the racks reveals a calculating mind which managed to earn his
way into the very positions that helped ease the enactment of his
plans to ‘test’ the court of the Invictus – mandated
by God if you believe the tales heard from the trial.
His execution came swift – punishment for his attempt to
destabilize the domain. His child bloodhunted within the domain,
a fugitive from the Prince’s justice, a question remains.
Is the Lange lineage cursed? Are they in some way turned deranged
by the blood which runs through their veins? Only the future of
Chester Borden and Elias Carter will determine this. |
