The first true story of the chronicle I’d like to take
this brief moment to thank Ryon (player of Justin Fairfax) for agreeing
to play the part of Flesh & Blood’s first villain and
look forward to his return to the game with his new concept.
A year after Prince Jameson’s praxis seizure from her sire
Prince Hollinger the Court was called to gather by the Keeper of
Elysium and Leader of the Ordo Dracul – Mr. Lawrence –
who warned of the continued danger this entity posed to the community.
Some sort of viral mystical taint that formed a consciousness bent
upon the destruction of kindred kind. This was also the first night
that any word of suspicions regarding Justin Fairfax became raised.
The Prince made it clear through the representatives of the covenants
that she wished him brought into custody for interrogation. An individual
some claimed had been missing for almost a year, but believed implicated
in some manner with the demise of Benjamin Flatt.
And then things became difficult. Feeding became increasingly difficult
for kindred throughout the domain, and concerns of blood starved
kindred turning to frenzied blood rages to sate such hunger, worried
many that a breach of the Masquerade was not long in the coming.
A surprise Elysium in the midst of this turmoil saw Justin Fairfax
brought before the Court for trial. His guilt was founded on his
involvement in a number of crimes against the Traditions of the
domain; later that evening he was executed. A Carthian Parliament
was scheduled for a month’s time from the trial to foster
communication and debate regarding the Masquerade of Toronto, and
the responsibility of all kindred to ensure the resiliency of this
Tradition.
The Carthian statement made in lieu of their Parliament has caused
some confusion. This end to the Eliza King Experiment is rather
ambiguous and has caused some to say that are proving a nuisance
more than anything else and that even with this “change”
nothing has changed with how they will interact with the court.
Others though are hesitant to paint them with the same brush and
wait to see if this change has also resulted in a change of ‘management,’
as it were, and may be embarking a new relationship with the court.
As the court waits to see what face the new Carthian experiment
will take; suspicious eyes have turned upon the Ordo Dracul. Rumors
are whispered that the change noted by many regarding the Invictus
of the domain was an attack by the Dragons upon the true lords of
this domain. Dark magic it’s said was used to tarnish the
Invictus and take from them their rightful inheritance – though
what that might be is unknown. If they have violated their vaunted
neutrality can any of their other agreements be trusted?
And if matters couldn’t get any worse the Reeve has begun
a collaborative effort throughout the domain to drive out an encroachment
of Belial’s Brood attempting to insinuate itself into the
city.
