This entry, like its name, would suggest covers the prelude for Flesh And Blood. My thanks to all the players who have given me the support necessary in making this the game that it has become.

It all started with an invitation. An invitation by a myth. An invitation extended to all members of the court promising a lesson in Kindred Justice. When it first came, it called for two names. Connor Truman and David Riley. Both bloodhunted. No reason was given. That night the young Evan Drake spoke to some and warned them that dark tidings came. That VII walked amongst the kindred and that it was doing so through Prince Hollinger. Rumors also spread that Samuel Morrissey, Reeve and childer of the Prince, was the one responsible for the burning deaths of a handful of the Unbound in the weeks leading up to this gathering.

Leader of the Invictus, and a well respected member of the court, Eliza King stepped forward suggesting a meeting with the Prince in order. The Elysium she called was instead hosted by others, as her head was returned to the court with claims that she was part of a conspiracy to overthrow the Prince's rule. Connor Truman and David Riley were implicated at this point along with Charles Martell. Again, it was suggested that Prince Hollinger was compromised, and that Karolina Hansen would stand between anyone and their attempts to fulfill these sanctioned hunts. Many seemed skeptical that this was altruistic, instead believing this a possible ploy for the Carthians to seize power.

With the torporing of Lyta Troy, and the Bloodhunting of ten additional members of the court, it became evident that something would have to be done if Hollinger were to be stopped. Claims that the secretive VII covenant were involved seemed more likely when an attempt to destroy the Elysium was stopped. Morrissey was dispatched by Hollinger with a van full of explosives that the Reeve instructed Justin Stockdale to deliver to Elysium. Choosing not to make the delivery, the Archon drove the vehicle away in the midst of a fight that ended up triggering the explosive and claiming both his and the Reeve’s life. The threat neutralized, Ingrid Jameson stepped forth to claim Praxis and renounce all previous bloodhunts.

Some weeks later, the court learned that Hollinger has been stopped, and that the threat of VII has been removed from the domain. Announcements were made: a tribunal established to help better govern the varying interests of the covenants; and that of the defection of Karolina Hansen and Kage of the Cathian Movement, along with Evan Drake of the Lancea Sanctum to the Ordo Dracul. Some speculate that this is the opening maneuver of the Ordo Dracul to seize power within the domain. Speculation aside, it is clear that the relationship between the Master of the Elysium and the newly named Seneschal, Archbishop Giovanni d’Alessandro, is further strained by this turn of events.
