Out of Game Announcements for "February 19, 2006"

First - Sick Kids has thanked us for our donation to Child's Play!

Per the usual doors will open at 6PM in the Reading Room (first floor across the room from the porter’s desk), and game will start at 7PM.

This game I would like to get some photos of the costuming that some of the characters have and place it up on the website. If interested please approach Nicole (Kari) as she will take pictures with our digital camera before game.

I still haven’t had a chance to add the Nosferatu creeps to the website, but intend to do so over the upcoming downtime. For Sunday’s game I’m going to ask all the Nosferatu players to give some thought to their creep so they can describe it in short to the cast after we do the status game.

I’ve heard that there was some confusion in regards to the addition of the deceased dates for kindred. Those are actually links that will take you to a new page with more information on the incident or reflecting the impact said kindred had upon the domain. (Note from Nic: Bad Design on our part - it will be fixed!)

This is the last session of the prelude. This means a couple of things.

  1. Congratulations are in order to everyone to date for making this the most enjoyable LARP experience I have ever had. You all deserve a round of applause.
  2. Another round of applause to the people who have helped make this game happen. Whether by participating as a narrator, or helping provide props, or any of the innumerable requests I’ve made in these four months of game play, thank you.
  3. I will be giving out the end of Chronicle XP ahead of time as I would like to allow all the characters to make some of their larger purchases now as we’re about to go through an in game time jump.
  4. There will be no game in March. I know that this will upset some of you, but I need this time to regroup and start implementing in earnest the next story line.
  5. Also this is a chance for anyone who has been having trouble with their character to help try and jumpstart them. Because the time jump is going to cover a year in game this is plenty of time to start a feud. Create a coterie. Have a character come to a realization that changes them at the core of their being. Anything that will help make your gaming experience more enjoyable. Now is the time to think about it. Look at this session as a chance to bring the prelude to a wrap and start your character upon their story.
  6. This is also a chance to invite anyone that you’ve been dying to play. The extended downtime will allow them to get fully integrated and be prepared along with the rest of the cast for the upcoming story. Not to mention I’ll be doing a little advertising. If anyone has any suggestions on where I might want to post or submit the write up for the game please get in touch.
  7. With the cancellation of the March game what will be happening instead will be three downtimes to cover the year in four month segments. Like regular downtimes you will get your personal actions, etc, but you will get one a month, or 12 for the year. This is the time to look at large picture plans. To aim for the time exhaustive projects.
  8. Not to mention giving me a chance to read over the rules again, and readjust the status throughout the city. If there is a specific status you think your character exemplified during this story line, or believe that a status should change because you’re not quite that thing anymore please send me an email with the details for such. I will be the final arbiter though, and will decide how the status will look.
  9. As well, players will be encouraged in running smallish events over the extended downtime and should feel free to contact me with any ideas they have for such events.
